Jovánovics Tamás: NINA, 2016
Temporary exhibitions at the Vasarely Museum have been put on hold since January 2016 due to renovations. The international thematic exhibition series of the Open Structures Art Society, which had been held at the Museum regularly since 2006, has also been on hiatus since then. OSAS has nevertheless continued its exhibition activities, albeit on a smaller scale: since the summer of 2016, seven solo exhibitions have been organized at the Három Hét (“Three Weeks”) gallery of Budapest, featuring works by young Hungarian and international artists active on the constructive-concrete scene. During this period, the Society has also maintained its international connections. On the occasion of the reopening of the Museum, we start off by presenting a selection of works created in 2016-17 by the Society’s founding, new and honorary members, supplemented by older, lesser known works, as well as the members’ new album entitled Piéce Unique 2016-17, containing unique graphic sheets.
