Budapest Art Week is a fine art program series where exhibitions and events (guided tours, lectures, workshops, performances) are available during six days on 70 locations (museums, galleries and exhibition halls) - and all that with one ticket.
The Vasarely Museum are participating with two programs in the event:
Optical buffet – guided tour – April 18. (Wednesday) 11.00 Registration required!
Do you want to know how Vasarely artworks were created at the museum? During the interactive guided tour, the secrets of the artist’s studio will be unlocked, and visitors will get an insight into the artist’s techniques, tools and boxes. Focus on illusions!
Night illusion – April 19. (Thursday) 17.00
Thursday, Vasarely Museum welcomes visitors with extended opening hours. Parallel, vertical, different angles, black and white, transparent and impassable: inconstant and infinite possibilities. With black and white lines, with a plexiglass and with all visitors included, Vasarely created the optic art movement in kinetic art, in which all images are on the move. Enjoy Vasarely’s illusions, think about how deep relief works, be inspired by Vasarely’s artworks and create your own kinetic artwork. Museum educators are waiting for visitors with visual experimentations.
