The thinking of the invited artists is characterized by systematism, seriality, and
humour; their artworks reflect the possibility of play. We present the games and
game plans of visual artists and musicians, for which the ideas were developed
during the work process. At the same time, a realized work of art or piece of
music can also be interpreted – and reshaped – in the form of a game. Playing
games sets us into motion, prompts us to think, and facilitates situation
awareness and interactivity – which, at the experiential level, give rise to feelings
of joy and a sense of freedom.
The exhibition aims to dissolve art-related stereotypes that render contemporary
art isolated and unapproachable.
